Friday Night Fever

Actually, I didn't plan for a movie especially on the Friday night. As what I've been "enlightened" earlier, tonight should be the nite for a stress therapy. However, sudden change on the plan at the very last minute really blows out the mood for enjoyment.

As I reached home quite early unlike my normal working days, so I thought of dropping by at the nearest cinema and try to ease my mind thru some kind of movie therapy. Luckily, managed to get a seat for S A L T. huhu. It's not any kind of "garam" coz for this special one, it really satisfied you with the unlimited thrills and the desire for excitements rather than the taste of saltiness.
:p

In the beginning, you could see how inhuman a man can be in which Evelyn Salt (Jolie) is brutally interrogated in a North Korean prison for the accusation of being a spy to sabotage their country's nuclear system. The action proper begins as Evelyn prepares to celebrate her wedding anniversary with the German arachnologist who helped secure her release from NK prison. But first, she must interview Orlov (Daniel Olbrychski), a Russian defector who reveals the existence of a network of Soviet sleeper agents trained to wreak havoc after pursuing quiet undercover lives in America. When Orlov names Evelyn as one of those agents, all hell breaks loose within CIA headquarters.

Salt offers more proof that there’s no one in movies today quite like Jolie; drop-dead gorgeous, charismatic, physically agile and tough enough to duke it out with any man. It's true indeed in this film, you can witnessed how strong and capable Jolie is. She's truly one hell of a babe if you asked me personally. Although her appearance in this movie kind of aging a bit (as you can clearly see wrinkles around her eyes) unlike what we've seen in her last movie in Mr. & Mrs Smith, but who else care right. She's still the best "bond" if you want to compare it with the bond it self.

Overall, although the story board evolved around Evelyn from the beginning to the end; how she's been physically and mentally tortured, how she's able to completely suppressed her feelings when her husband was shot in front of her eyes (but later she gave them one hell of a time), how magnificent her action unlike any other superwoman in this world, it seems like we've been ignored by the author about others sleeping agent like her and how they link towards each other. Yes indeed, we've been proved that Evelyn Salt is truly a Soviet sleeper in the middle of the story, yet the poor ending is not what we would expected from the beginning.
